Dave is in his 11th season as Official Photographer of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Following in his fathers footsteps since an early age, Dave has always shared in his passion for the game. In his young career Dave has photographed over 500 NHL hockey games, and has photographed 6 NLL Champions Cup finals.

Dave graduated from Loyalist College in 1997. His training has allowed Graig Abel Photography to expand to incorporate news, corporate and event photography.

His wide range of skills have allowed him to photograph some of the areas most elite sporting events including: 4 Molson Indy (Grand Prix of Toronto,) 4 Rogers Cup Tennis Tournaments, the World Field Lacrosse Championships as well as 8 RCGA Tournaments. He was also the official photographer for the 2007 AHL All-Star game in Toronto.

Dave is also a staff photographer at the Toronto Sun. His skills are constantly developing to push the boundaries of conventional photography and including multimedia to his expertise. He was also the designer for this entire website.
